Motorbike Rental in Uluwatu

Uluwatu is on the Bukit peninsula in the far south, beyond our free delivery radius — delivery
there is quoted by zone before you book. It is on our list of pickup and drop-off points, together
with Jimbaran and Nusa Dua nearby.

Which bike suits Uluwatu

The Bukit is the one part of southern Bali where the roads open up. Long straights across the
plateau, fast sweeping bends down to the beaches, and steep, sometimes rough access lanes to the
surf spots. This is where the sport bikes and the 650cc machines in our fleet make sense.

That said, the descents to Padang Padang, Bingin and Nyang Nyang are steep and often broken
concrete. A heavy bike is hard work on those last few hundred metres. Many riders take a mid-range
250–500cc bike as the compromise: quick enough on the plateau, manageable on the drops.

Practical notes

Distances on the Bukit are longer than they look and there are fewer petrol stations than in
Canggu or Seminyak — fill up before you head out to the cliffs. The roads are unlit at night and
the plateau is genuinely dark once you leave the main road. Surf traffic clogs the Uluwatu temple
road in the late afternoon. Take the coast road back towards Jimbaran if you want the view.

What it costs

Rates are the same wherever you ride from — we do not charge a premium for Uluwatu.
Scooters and 155cc automatics start around 200,000 IDR per day. Mid-range bikes between
230cc and 500cc run roughly 300,000 to 600,000 IDR. Large-capacity machines — 650cc cruisers,
900cc nakeds — start from about 1,000,000 IDR and reach 2,500,000 IDR for the top of the fleet.

The minimum rental is three days — a one- or two-day hire is charged at the three-day rate
anyway, so you may as well keep the bike. From there the daily price drops at 7, 15 and 30 days.
If you are staying a fortnight, booking the whole period at once is noticeably cheaper than two
short rentals.

Every rental includes a helmet. Insurance is an optional add-on rather than part of the base
rate, and we recommend it on anything above 250cc. A refundable deposit starts at 2,000,000 IDR
and rises with the value of the bike. To ride legally you need an International Driving Permit
endorsed for motorcycles.
